Strategic Planning Retreat Review

During this meeting we reviewed the Strategic Planning Retreat.

At its August 2025 Strategic Planning Retreat, Soroptimist International of Portland charted an ambitious course for the coming year focused on impact, growth, and celebration. Members brainstormed creative fundraising ideas—from themed events and online auctions to women-owned business expos—while also setting strategies to recruit and retain members through social events, partnerships, and expanded community visibility. The club is preparing to deepen its educational outreach by expanding the Dream It, Be It (DIBI) program into local schools with new toolkits and nonprofit collaborations.

In addition, the club is enhancing its operations by improving digital systems for record-keeping, member communication, online payments, and donations. With preparations already underway for its 100th anniversary in 2027, the club is building momentum for a landmark celebration that honors its history and supports future programs.
