Soroptimist Northwestern Region, District 2 Meeting

Our November Meeting reviews the recent The Northwestern Region, District 2 “We Can Do It!” Meeting! Soroptimists from across District 2 gathered for a day of connection, inspiration, and professional growth. We explored new strategies to strengthen our clubs—learning how to expand membership through effective recruitment and by creating Gracious Spaces that foster understanding, trust, and healthy relationships within our teams and communities.

Keynote Speaker Dr. Tracy J. Prince, author of the bestselling Notable Women of Portland and Research Professor at Portland State University, is dedicated to uncovering overlooked women’s histories and bringing them into classrooms, museums, and public discussions. Through her research and presentations, she highlights the diverse stories of women who shaped Oregon—from Native leaders and trailblazing professionals to labor advocates, writers, and WWII shipyard workers—striving to transform how women’s contributions are taught and remembered in Oregon history.
