Women's Life Change, Union Gospel Mission, Reiko Cordeiro
This month, we’re pleased to welcome Reiko Cordeiro, the new Women’s LifeChange Director at Union Gospel Mission (UGM), as our featured speaker. Reiko is a licensed professional counselor who has worked for nearly a decade alongside individuals and families in UGM’s residential recovery programs, helping people rebuild their lives through counseling, support, and long-term stability.
Reiko will share insights into the LifeChange program, which provides safe housing, mental health services, addiction recovery support, life skills training, job readiness, and education. Women in the program — along with their children — receive the tools and resources they need to heal, grow, and gain independence. Transitional housing is also available to help residents continue their progress in a supportive community while saving money and preparing for a more stable future.
Union Gospel Mission has been serving the Portland community since 1927, evolving to meet the changing needs of people experiencing homelessness, addiction, and crisis. From their downtown facilities to the LifeChange Center for Women and Children in Beaverton, UGM provides essential services that change lives.
Reiko will also speak about the growing need for outreach and support in our region, and how we can all play a part in helping individuals and families move forward with dignity and hope.
