Justin Moshkowski: Offering Shelter and Services to Abuse
Operated by the Salvation Army, The West Womens’ and Childrens’ Shelter has served domestic violence and sexual assault survivors at a secure site for more than 30 years. It has a maximum capacity of 60 participants, including children.
Please join Executive Director Justin Moshkowski to learn more about how The West provides a safe place for survivors where they can start over. Based on a model of trauma-informed care, these services focus on obtaining safe and stable housing, self-sufficiency, and personal stability.
To achieve these goals, The West offers:
Wrap-around social services designed to help survivors escape, including case management, employment assistance, and housing program resources
Clothes for adults and children
Screening to assure culturally specific services
Justin will be answering your questions after his presentation.
