SOROPTIMIST is a global women’s organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.

Supporting Girls & Women
We raise funds to support our many service projects to help local women and girls in our community and our primary award programs: Live Your Dream Award.
In support of the Live Your Dream Award Program, Soroptimist of Portland provides several cash awards each year – in 2022 we distributed $9,000, split between three recipients. Award winners from local clubs become eligible for a Region and Federation award.
Many of our recipients are survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking, or sexual assault. Nearly all have overcome enormous obstacles including poverty, domestic violence, and substance abuse. These women are striving to improve and change their lives, which impacts their families and their communities for the better.
Women at their best, helping women be their best!
Soroptimist International of Portland is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit corporation (EIN #93-6026066). We accept monetary donations from members and the public, all of which are tax-deductible.
