Justin Moshkowski: Offering Shelter and Services to Abuse
Survivors

Operated by the Salvation Army, The West Womens’ and Childrens’ Shelter has served domestic violence and sexual assault survivors at a secure site for more than 30 years. It has a maximum capacity of 60 participants, including children.

Please join Executive Director Justin Moshkowski to learn more about how The West provides a safe place for survivors where they can start over. Based on a model of trauma-informed care, these services focus on obtaining safe and stable housing, self-sufficiency, and personal stability.

To achieve these goals, The West offers:

  • Wrap-around social services designed to help survivors escape, including case management, employment assistance, and housing program resources

  • Clothes for adults and children

  • Screening to assure culturally specific services

Justin will be answering your questions after his presentation.
